DARTMOOR ESCAPES

We offer quality accommodation in a large dormer bungalow.  A large mature garden and 50 metres with direct access to the moors. Close to Burrator reservoir, Tavistock and Plymouth. Thirty minutes to the South Coast and an hour to the North.  Great for walking, cycling, and relaxing.

Situated in the village of Dousland in Devon, Nine Oaks is the perfect weekend retreat. Close to the moors and the sea, there’s plenty to see and do in the vicinity. A village shop and pub are near to hand. If you like activity there are cycle tracks and moorland walks. Tavistock, an ancient Stannary town, is close by. Ten miles away Plymouth is perfect for all things nautical, including the National Marine Aquarium.

Situated in Dartmoor National Park, it has endless walking possibilities, with the beautiful reservoir of Burrator ten minutes away and easy cycling. Close by are a plethora of National Trust properties, as is canoeing on the Dart and Tamar.

 

 

The large garden one third of an acre is also great for wandering or play, with a summerhouse offering great views. Lawns are to the side, front and back as well as shrubs, oak trees, flowers and plenty of wild birds. Also the odd hedgehog occasionally crosses the gravel drive! There are also two car parking spaces.

WIFI and an iPod dock are available, as is a large Sony HDTV with surround sound. Bed linen is also complimentary. Two kitchen towels and cloths are provided as are cleaning materials, iron and board. A hair dryer is available on request.

Minimum stay is two nights for £250 and one week from £700. Weekend check in Fri/Sat and week’s are Saturday to Saturday.
